Look forward ... to what God will do!

Isaiah 42.9 "What was foretold of old is now fulfilled, and I announce to you new things, even before they germinate I will reveal them."

Isaiah 43:18-19 "Yet I say: don't dwell on the old, don't cling to the past. Observe, I am beginning something new. It is already taking shape, you can already see it: a road through the desert, rivers through the steppe."

A word from God to His people who were in captivity in Babylon. A word that spoke of the future restoration of Israel. An encouragement of better times to come.

God spoke of a future that would be realized in Jesus. He spoke to people through His prophets, encouraging them with promises of a better life!

"I announce to you new things..." said He!
"I'm starting something new!"
"You can see it already!"
"Even before they germinate I will reveal them to you!"

In the midst of a bad situation, God began to encourage His people that things would not stay this way forever, because He had a plan!

Especially when you are in a difficult situation. Perhaps one for which you yourself have been responsible, then don't expect to hear from God!

But that is precisely the time where He begins to speak to you with encouragements of a better life, because He has a plan!

And the very first thing He wants is for you to let go of the past ... So don't look back at what was, but look forward to what is going to be ... "Don't dwell on the old, don't cling to the past," He said. That sounds like good advice amen?

Looking forward to the new thing He wants to do in your life. To the next step He has for you!
