We live in a time where we must stand up in the power of God's Spirit. The true church should not be seen as an institution of religion, but one of strength!
Since the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we have had a number of experiences where the power of God's Spirit has caused change. And each time it took place it was powerful enough to change people's lives, and therefore social life
Whether it was the AZUSA street revival with William Seymour in 1906 or even the Charismatic movement from the year 1960. Each movement had its origin in the power of the Holy Spirit!
Georgette and I experienced the Charismatic movement. The baptism in the Holy Spirit completely changed our lives and made it possible for us to serve God at all.
For us it was not an experience for a brief moment, but a life-changing experience that shapes our lives to this day!
I would not like to do without the power of God's Spirit! This power made it possible for the disciples to reach the world with the gospel!
Acts1,8 "But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive power and witness to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, To the ends of the earth.'
To the ends of the earth!
Today I wonder where has this power gone? Where are tongues still spoken in tongues? Where do the gifts of the Spirit still play a role today.
One of the biggest reasons why the body of Christ has not made a greater impact on our generation today is because we don't have much to do with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The power God poured out opened the door to the gifts of His Spirit. Nine opportunities to supernaturally influence the world around you.
Gifts where the Spirit reveals things to us, for example.
At John 16,13 we read: "The Spirit of truth, when he comes, will show you the way to the full truth. He will not speak for himself, but he will say what he hears And announce to you what is to come.
He knows what is going to happen and wants to make it known to us, but if we do not expect to hear from Him, if we do not reach out to hear from Him, we are no better off than the rest of the world.
And then when a crisis comes, we have no spiritual understanding of what is happening. We can only listen to the World, but not offer a solution.
Therefore, I believe God is using the current situation to speak to us and make it clear to us that without His power, the church cannot have a great impact.
Last year when I heard the Lord say: "that the celebration of Pentecost would mark a turning point in the church, and its understanding of the power it had been given. it was immediately clear to me that we had to return to this force.
Pentecost saw the church rise in power and dominion. God calls us to declare a reversal of our present situation and exercise His divine power and dominion.
He challenges us to reflect on our current position and make the necessary changes that identify us as His people. I see a church doing the works of Jesus!
At Acts 2.43 state: "The many signs and wonders performed by the apostles filled everyone with awe."
It is time for the world to be in awe of God.
I believe God is looking for a generation whom Daniel and Joseph dreams signify for kings and rulers.
A generation that has an understanding of economic affairs and can assist leaders of Nations with divine counsel.
A generation asked to pray for leaders in high positions, expressing not only God's blessing, but also His plan for their lives.
A generation that is not driven back by a storm, but rather uses this storm to cross over and fulfill its mission.
