As a prophet, it is not always easy to make known the words God gives. Especially the warnings you know people won't like.
But if I just pass on the words that please and caress people, certain things will cause a rough awakening, and God will be very displeased with me.
Especially now that prophetic and apostolic ministry is recognized as important, we would do well to pay attention to all that is said and take it seriously.
The world is changing and God knows very well what is happening around us. That is why He warns us, revealing what is not yet seen and showing us the right way.
Above all, he shows us the position the Church must take in these turbulent times.
One of the impressions God gave me this year had to do with the awakening of the church.
As if she were asleep and awakened by an alarm, she jumped up and sprang into action.
I am aware that God has times and seasons when certain things are activated to give a clear sign of His kingdom, but the church was activated 2,000 years ago, right?
Then I got Romans 13.11 On me heart where it says: "You know the present time: the moment has come on which to awaken from sleep, for salvation is nearer to us than when we came to faith.
"You know the present time..." it says here. And perhaps this is why God gave me this word. Do we know the present time at all? Do we know where we stand, or rather, does the church know where it stands or is it asleep?
"...the moment has come On which to awaken from sleep" Paul wrote, for salvation is nearer to us than when we came to faith."
Dear people, surely it should be clear to us that today's events are a sign that the Lord's return is not long in coming!
It is a "wake-up call" To stand up and take action. To be the church that Jesus died for. A church that triumphs over the devil and brings His kingdom to earth in all its God-given power!
This is not the time to pull your blankets over your head hoping the world will be a better place tomorrow!
It is time to stand up and hear the devil say: Oh no...they are awake again!
The body of Christ is not weak, but strong and invincible. We do not live on the defensive, but on the offensive.
As a church, we should be seen as a light in the dark, a place of healing and strength, a life-giving organ that stirs a hunger for more.
A place where miracles and signs ensure that young people's eyes are no longer on their cell phones, but on Jesus.
At Acts 2:42 states that "The many signs and wonders the apostles performed filled everyone with awe."
The early church was not only born in the power of the Spirit, the power of the Spirit was part of its ongoing experience.
It was this power that enabled the church to influence people on a deep level (they were filled with awe).
The miraculous is a characteristic of the Church in Acts and thus an example for the Church today!
Today's church may not see that happening, but God says it will awaken from its sleep and emerge in full force!
The church is undergoing a change that is already visible in the Netherlands. Slowly but surely, new congregations are beginning to appear.
The shaking of recent years has shaken the dust off the church. She will rise again with renewed splendor.
I see an activation of believers to increase the Lord's work.
I see a strong church in 2023 full of people using their gifts and talents to honor and serve God.
A church that attracts people's attention and shows them the goodness and power of the Lord.
A church that says: We trust in Jesus and will do the same as Him. John 14.12
